hey rocker the jeep looks cool also you were saying that you were changing your springs around to get it to more squat in the rear, i was reading about mud racing 4 links in mud life and its in how you position your link arm angels that will deside wether your jeep well squat or rise in the rear when you hammer on the gas. and softening your coils to do so, i am afriad that you may be putting untold striss on your link arm and may be sending your diff angel in the air or in the dirt or causing bending issues with your drive shaft, and i would have stuck with with the hiem joints over bushings because you are limiting your articulate suspension angels with bushings over hiems and adding a vibradding striss facture  that could end up showing vary savier signs of wear in a short term bases. don't mean to sound like a know it all but thats what i have read, but personally i don't know what in talking about because i have never done any of this before, only read about in magizines and drawn it on paper. but ya jeep looks cool hope it goes better then last time you had it down at copper flats just didn't seem like she wanted to hual ass for ya that day.  thumbs up

There is not supposed to be much articulation in my suspension,I would rather there be none.It was built to be a straight line racer. If it was a rock crawler,I would have used coilovers with monster heims so I could adjust my links for articulation my link angle has been scientifically tested in my modern billion dollar research lab,we have the most up to date system in the world. We start out with a paper and pencil and then take a top of the line tape measure and slap everything together.I took out the heim joints and used bushings cause heims break too easy.My link arms are over kill you couldn't bend them with a d8 cat.My driveshaft can't bend,it is only 20 inches long. There can be no wear on my bushings cause they were hand built by me and are indestructible.I changed the rear springs because the ones I had in there before made the ass end bounce off the ground and caused loss of traction. With my old coils in the back I had leaf springs in the front and a shorter wheelbase more of my weight transfer was on the front.I want the front end out of the mud.So I added the 4 link to the front and stretched the wheelbase 2 feet.I hope the softer springs in the rear will bring the ass end down and the front end up.
You won't find a lot of cj5's around built like this one.I would have left the suspension factory except I had to go and put a 454 with turbo 400 and 208 transfercase in it.Why you ask?Because my brain told me to and I was bored. In order to do that I had to stretch the wheelbase.I made 9 passes last year and never had any problems. It's all in the experimentation. If the rear springs are too soft I will change them to stiffer ones if my front springs aren't right I will change them. Most of the morons that write articles in those magazines get their info from guys who build the exact same traditional systems, mine ain't traditional you would have to start a new magazine dedicated just to me.Just wait till you see my red truck when it is done.Nobody builds em like rocker.
